December it is!
The season of gladness, sadness, joy, ecstasy, this is all we are surrounded with. You close your eyes and think about the last time you fell in love. Where did you feel the love? Perhaps you got butterflies in your stomach or your heart raced with excitement.
The next day ‘fear’ visits to haunt you. The possible fears of emotional pain, fear of starting over, fear of being left behind. You try to finish up the work you started months ago only to dodge the baggage of carrying it through the next years. It feels like you have this petite amount of time where you have to accomplish so much more.
Then there are those days when you are so happy that the rest of the world seemed to disappear, a state of intensely beautiful bliss. Where you want to write poetry, change an epic landscape into a painting, when a normal pumpkin pie tastes so delicious and you are at the top of your game.
By the end of the month you are under the mistletoe, playing jingles and brooding over the resolutions (which you hope to forget as soon as the New Year lands). Amidst festivities you try to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illumine the world. Once you figure out who you are and what you love about yourself, I think it all kind of falls into place.
On the New Years Eve, where you come from is gone, where you thought you were heading to was never there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it. Where is there a place for you to be? No place… Nothing external can give you any place… In yourself right now is the complete place you’ve got.
“So, now let us seek the blessings from the one who created the world, the divine almighty and welcome the New Year, full of things that have never been.”
ReligiousKart wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
